Dr. Molly Childers

 

Molly Childers - Ph.D., Boston University

Molly Childers joined AIC after five years at The University of Arizona developing exchange programs for students and faculty, assisting in the design of an interdisciplinary degree program in international studies, and refining the procedures for establishing international educational linkages. Her B.A. in English from The University of Arizona includes a minor in religious studies focused on East Asian religion and philosophy; her M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Boston University involved her in an interdisciplinary project exploring representations of adolescence in literature, psychology, sociology, and anthropology. Her most recent research interest is the emergence of a global culture fueled by expanding communications technologies and the increased sharing of popular cultural forms between the eastern and western hemispheres.
