Conteris - Ph.D., Sorbonne University
A native of Uruguay, Dr. Conteris received his doctorate
from the Sorbonne in Paris and was previously the head of the Division
of Modern Languages at Alfred University in New York. During his
eight-year confinement as a political prisoner in Uruguay, he wrote
poetry, novels, plays and short stories which have garnered national
and international awards. Dr. Conteris, who speaks fluent Spanish,
French, Portuguese, and English, teaches Interdisciplinary Studies,
Latin American Studies, and Spanish at Arizona International College.
