Dr. Jude Fernando

 

 

Jude Fernando Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Fernando has a strongly interdisciplinary background in economics, anthropology, and South Asian history. His research focus is economic development with a special emphasis on gender, environment and child labor in developing countries. As a consultant to the World Bank, he has completed a paper on "Political Economy of Child Labor" that reviewed child labor issues in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In the future, he intends to pursue research in civil society particularly in relation to the social, economic and political process resulting from globalization.
